Welcome to The Apollo Institute of Medicine, a centre of clinical excellence shaping the future of neurologic and medical care. As a patient of ours, you may be invited to be a part of research studies which will shape national and international treatment guidelines for medical and neurologic disorders. You may also be invited to share your patient experience with medical students, resident physicians, and subspecialty fellows – to help train the next generation of physicians in Canada.

Meet Our Team

Neurologist
Dr. Banerjee is a neurologist with a subspecialty focus on headache and concussion medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Calgary, and his residency training at the University of Alberta. He also provides inpatient care at Richmond Hospital. Outside the clinic he enjoys sailing, boxing, and playing the guitar.

Co-Founder & Academic Director
Dr. Marzoughi earned his medical degree from the University of Calgary and completed his neurology residency training at the University of British Columbia, where he served as lead resident. This was followed by further subspecialty training in headache and facial pain syndromes. He serves as the Academic Director of the Apollo Institute of Medicine and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UBC Division of Neurology. Dr. Marzoughi additionally provides inpatient care at Vancouver General Hospital and is the Director of the UBC Headache Fellowship program. When he steps away from the clinic, you'll find him hitting the pavement to train for a marathon, playing and arranging music, exploring new destinations, or out enjoying a long drive.
